This page contains links to various music artiste sites. The sites themselves may have information, lyrics, songs (in MP3 or some other format), from that artiste. The range of the music these artistes produce is really vast and diverse. It ranges from rock to ghazals, from Pink Floyd to Ghulam Ali, from Lobo to Yesudas. The artistes could include any artiste, from any type of music, because I really love diverse range of music. Irrespective of their style, all these artiste provide music which appeals.
These links are classified artiste wise, so you can find your favourite artiste here and visit the sites/pages related to that artiste only. The artistes are broadly put in the two categories, Indian and international. Indian artistes include artistes which sing in Indian languages, so Ghulam Ali is very much there.
Ghulam Ali - The ghazal singer with mellifluous voice, classical style, clear and distinct pronunciations, soft rendering of words. Listening to his ghazals is a mesmerizing experience. You can't forget his "Chupke chupke", "Hangama hain kyon barpa...", "Dil me ek laher si uthi hain abhi..", "Dukh ki laher ne chheda hoga....", there are so many. He happens to be my all time favourite ghazal singer. Listen to his ghazals at music India online, they have the largest collection among what I have seen so far.
Jagjit & Chitra Singh - Another ghazal singer with style of his own and magical voice. His new album 'Marasim', with Gulzar reassures that the maestro hasn't lost his magical touch. With his wife Chitra Singh (who doesn't sing these days), he has given some of the most beautiful and romantic ghazals like "Mere jaise ban jaaoge jab ishq tumhe ho jaayega...", "Socha nahi achcha bura...", and many more.
Yesudas - Crystal clear voice, can convey a range of emotions through his voice. The man behind lovely hindi songs like "Gori tera gaaon bada pyaara....(Chitchor)", "Surmayi aankhiyon mein...(Sadma)", "Jab deep jale aana... (Chitchor)". Strong classical base, magical range of voice. I just love him, though I haven't heard his songs in any other language besides hindi. Recently relased 2 hindi, non-filmi song albums, Sitaron meain tu hi and Ahimsa.
Air Supply - Regular pop stuff, they happen to be my fav's. They're Australians, Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock. Very good range of voice. Good music, mainly love songs; if you like that kind of stuff, you'll love them.
Lobo - Nice and slow rock-n-roll style music. Famous by his songs like "I'd love you want me", "Stony", "Me and you and the dog named boo", "Am I going crazy" and many more. Nice songs if you really adore slow music with good lyrics.
